Here’s how URA’s latest plans are shaping the future of the Pasir Ris area:
1. Pasir Ris Town Centre Rejuvenation
The Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) is now operational, featuring a modern bus interchange, polyclinic, town plaza, childcare facilities, and residences—seamlessly connected with Pasir Ris MRT (East-West Line) and the future Cross Island Line (CRL) interchange

Plans include mixed-use developments and a community hub, all linked by the planned Central Greenway —a 1.2 km elevated walking and cycling path delivering seamless connectivity from Pasir Ris Park through the town centre
2. New Neighbourhood at Sungei Loyang and Jalan Loyang Besar
URA is studying the development of a new residential neighbourhood near Sungei Loyang, which may include homes, commercial and community facilities, as well as a linear park along the river—designed to preserve the natural landscape and biodiversity

3. Enhanced Connectivity & Mobility
The Cross Island Line (CRL) will bring five new MRT stations in the East by 2029, including an interchange at Pasir Ris

Existing transport and walking infrastructure will be bolstered with “Friendly Streets”, featuring safer pedestrian crossings and traffic-calming designs across Pasir Ris and neighbouring towns

4. Expanded Green & Recreation Corridors
The Eastern Corridor initiative aims to connect Pasir Ris Park with other leisure spots like Tampines Eco Green, Bedok Reservoir Park, and East Coast Park through an enhanced network of park connectors and nature corridors.
Pasir Ris Park will see expansions, including a 2.5-hectare extension along Sungei Tampines, integrated with mangrove areas—part of the broader vision to stretch continuous green space along the waterfront

5. New Housing Clusters in the East Region
A strategic land parcel at Pasir Ris Drive 3/Drive 10 has been earmarked for future housing under the Government Land Sales (GLS) program. It’s one of the first new land parcels for private housing in Pasir Ris since 2012, positioned close to the upcoming Elias MRT on the CRL. Potential developers and investors are closely watching this for its exceptional location and connectivity.
